Design brief form: brand, audience, style and deliverables

A designer does better work with a clear brief. This form asks the client for their contact details, the brand or project name, what the brand does, who it is for, the deliverables (logo, brand guide, website, packaging, social media or print), the style they like in adjectives or references, an inspiration image, a deadline and a budget.

Who it is for

When to use it

Send it after the first call and before you quote. Clients often discover what they want while describing the style they like, and the image upload gives you a visual starting point that words rarely provide.

Questions people ask

Can clients upload several images?
This template has one image upload. Add more fields if you want a moodboard.
Is the budget required?
No, it is optional. Many clients do not know what design costs, so a number may need a conversation.
How is it different from the website brief?
This one is about brand and visual identity. The website brief covers features, pages and content for a website project.
